How does it work?
For any action to take place (audio announcement, video clip, lighting change, etc.), there must be an event which triggers it. The event could be a simple button push, or a person entering a room triggering a motion/proximity sensor. Events can also be based on time of day, periods of time, or at random. And, the event needn't trigger the same action each time. They can alternate or even play in rotation.

This flexibility allows for system operations to be tailored to the specific ebb and flow of persons at your location. For instance, on weekdays when there are typically groups of 2 or 3 people touring every 45 minutes, you may want to trigger an announcement with a motion zone as they walk into a room. On a weekend day when tour traffic is fairly constant you may choose to have the announcement play every 5 minutes, or perhaps only play every 5th time the motion zone is triggered. This keeps the announcements from becoming annoying as the high foot-traffic repeatedly activates the motion zone.

Events can also be used in combination to achieve specific results. One example would be the use of a door sensor and motion sensor working in tandem at a doorway. Through the use of custom programming, AIDA can make an announcement when someone enters the room, but not when they exit. The possibilities are truly endless!
