Caring for the unique needs of our older citizens requires innovative solutions to insure independence, and the dignity that comes from feeling
self-sufficient. When installed in the residence of a senior, AIDA performs specialized functions. If the resident requires daily medications,
a gentle reminder of "Don't forget your medication" can sound at regular intervals until the shut-off button is pushed. For the hearing impaired, hard to distinguish sounds like the doorbell or phone ring can be replaced with voice prompts and paired with blinking room lights to alert the resident. Control of room lighting also allows for safety features like Nightlight, which turns on lights to a low level for nighttime navigation and then automatically turns them off after the return trip.
AIDA also brings peace of mind to friends and relatives of the elderly by providing advisories on his or her status throughout the day. Email notification can be sent when the system senses motion in the morning, or if the voice prompt to take daily meds is not responded to. Any number of safeguards, passive or active, can be put in place without your loved one being pestered or inconvenienced. And you get your piece of mind.
